Bought after trying another device with a "Performance" chipset. After repeated random crashes, I found advice online that an FTDI chipset might fix the problem. Purchased and fixed the crashing issue immediately. I don't know enough about this type of hardware to know if I should have known beforehand, but I do know that this will work with an Agilent 34970 running the old Benchlink software! I also have an old converter (of a different brand) that is FTDI (now that I know) so I would recommend this model at least for older 34970s without built in USB output.
