I bought this for my 5 year old for his birthday because he was obsessed with watching marble races on youtube. I really like that these are kids Legos and you can attach them to the base which makes it easy to track, move and replace lost pieces. We spent hours building mazes for him. The cards that come with it are very good. I already remember one, we call it "Simple". The "marbles" that come with him are perfect plastic marbles which I wish I could find more of as he's already lost one. First we bought our set of glass, small and big, but they weigh too much for normal mazes and destroy the mazes faster. My older sons also like to play with it. They are almost teenagers. One suggested that he wished there was an all-in-one "X" figure to help out with some of the more difficult mazes as it's sometimes difficult to get them to stand and balance. We had to add a fairly large thick book to his collection to hold the base and carry it around the house. He never stays on the table as long as he wants to play with it for hours and then save it for later. My only complaint is that the bases are not the same as in the photo. When I first realized this, I got frustrated trying to build some more "complex" mazes. Since then we have learned to adapt the mazes to the fragments obtained, but no matter what we do, some of these mazes we will never be able to traverse because of this, as shown in the image. We also made mazes. They are papery and reusing will cause them to tear and tear. We put clear tape on the front and back, but I wish the company would find a more sustainable way to store them for future use. That being said we are generally very happy with them and plan on purchasing more parts for future kits in the future.
