Great muzzle. Dog is muzzle-trained already and has not fussed with it once, when sometimes she still fussed with the plastic ones after months. Bought to increase comfort over the standard plastic basket-muzzle. I needed to protect a new puppy from a 3.5 year old rescued dog who I've been training for 9 months; the dog used to attack other dogs from fear, even when there would be no threat, and the puppy is her reward for her obviously positive change in demeanor.The muzzle smells strongly of leather, so the puppy found the muzzle on a table & chewed the face-strap, but it has been holding up well since. This was a week ago. I can yank the chewed spots and it hasn't torn or acted like it would, but I anticipate problems at the damaged spots on the strap, over time, but the rest of the muzzle is of a quality worth repairing provided the repair costs less than a replacement.I was hoping it would keep her from biting the feathers out of the random chickens that run around my neighborhood, but now she has resorted to crushing them with her face and paws: you can see the durability of the leather's finish in the pictures. This is puppy and chicken damage.My puppy is 100% safe from bites and my dog is very comfortable with room to receive snacks, drink water, and pant. The fitment against the face and neck is superb. My dog is a 75lb standard/Large pitbull. A+
