Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Mount-It! RV TV Mount: Lockable, Full Motion Wall Mount for RVs - Single Arm, 42 Inches Max, VESA 200, 33 Lb Capacity by Nick Palacio

Standard RV mount advertised

This is a solid TV mount that allows for more portability if that's what you're after, but this is definitely the standard RV mount advertised becomes. The mounting hardware provided was intended for a solid 2 x 4 stud wall as the screws provided were longer than the RV wall. I swapped them out for others so as not to spoil the look of my van. I originally bought this mount because the base has a slip so I can detach the tv when traveling and use the same tv for outdoor mounting. The biggest problem with this, which I didn't anticipate, was that it slides on top and the way the brackets stack puts the TV over the mounting bracket. RVs have short ceilings and you need to take that into account when installing, which is why the TV mount hangs much lower on the wall than intended. You can mount it higher if the top of the TV is close to the ceiling, but then you'll have to remove the brackets on the mount every time you remove the TV. If you're looking for a full-pivoting TV mount and don't need to remove the TV, this will likely work (without changing hardware for smaller walls).

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Out of fashion
