SUITABLE FOR: Remote Controls

I bought this item over 5 years ago. I use it to turn on a table lamp in the far corner of my bedroom. The distance between the transmitter and receiver (in the next room) is about 20-25 feet with a metal-padded wall in between. I use it every day and it works perfectly. I think it still has the original battery in it. After reading all the critical reviews, it's probably better to knock on wood.
