Review on Dorman 746 654 Door Lock Actuator by Steven Lewis

For Sienna owners, this actuator works for non-power sliding passenger doors on my 2004 and I believe later models. This is my second replacement. I gave this part a mediocre rating because the drive axle cast bearing is all plastic. It will eventually break and render the drive unusable with 95% good parts. All you have to do to install this in the Sienna is replace the small plastic actuator arm, coil spring and external mounting adapter from your worn out actuator. Very easy disassembly and replacement. Toyota wants to sell you a door latch assembly for about $500 less than when I last checked. This actuator is widely used by Toyota. Just look at your seller photo and make sure they are bolted together and not glued for easy swapping of parts. This seller also did not mark it as a LEFT door operator. I had to zoom in to see the "L" on the side and compare it to my old device. In my opinion, Revain takes too much for this device. That's the $25 piece.
