Unfortunately we could never get this to work. I sent it to my son who is mentally challenged and doesn't use a cell phone. He has an iPad. He lives out of state with a more tech savvy "normal" person who tirelessly tried to find and download an app just to be able to set the time for my son. He checked other reviews and questions and was never able to set this up for my son. He didn't want to install the app on his private phone because it has nothing to do with my son. There didn't seem to be an app they could download that would work on my son's ipad, or any other way to set the time and other things without using the app. The watch did not come with any instructions. And my son's lack of a cell phone, which he wouldn't otherwise use, further complicated the situation. So we sent the watch back unused for a refund and will be looking at other options. It can work well if you can figure out how/where to find the app to personalize it and make it work with your particular electronic device. I basically rated three stars as neutral because we could never get the watch to work to give a different rating. If the watch had come with good, clear instructions, and if the app could run on the iPad, we might have rated it differently.
