Review on Efficient Solutions with CTA Tools A430 Absorber Socket: Enhance Precision and Ease in Absorber Removal by Keith Alvord

They have sizes! Find out which ones you need.

I don't know how sizes vary between shock manufacturers but you need to work out what size double D bushing (which it is) you need. Both this CTA tool and the OEM socket didn't have sizing information when I bought them a few months ago. Snap On have a range of these that come in 3 different sizes and in my experience these 3 tend to fit most if not all you find. So if you can't find them anywhere cheap, just look for these 3 sizes from different companies. For the Classic Saab 900 stock Sachs shocks I used an A137 bushing and removed the stuck nut without damaging the latch on the bushing. Therefore, to avoid a headache and to make things easier, I strongly recommend that you only find what you need.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • No instructions
