I looked at all the expensive docking stations and my challenge was to connect my 2 4K monitors to the latest 2017 MacBook Pro. One thing I noticed is that you need the right cables (PC connected to DP) so I ordered certified HDMI 2.0 cables (mandatory for 4k) from Monoprice. I tried not to connect any other cables to the T3 bus on this side and connected the port expander for USB/etc to the other bus. It worked the first time, but no matter what I tried I could only get 4K/30Hz. Since I'm not gaming (it's a work laptop) it's not too bad, but you can see the lag in the Mac's animations. Visibility was no better or worse than my VDI connection. I mentioned Mac (it says it supports dual 60hz, LG (definitely works and supports it according to the manual) - the DP port runs at 60hz and this product says it runs at dual 60hz of those products that run at 60hz Be sure to use two 4K monitors at 60Hz with MBP 2017. I also think the price is high because there are many other brands that offer 4K dual at 30Hz for 1/3 the price, so in terms of cost no.
