To be honest I will be reaching for these instead of my calligraphy kit for drawing and writing. My calligraphy kit was discarded for this purpose. They are easier to use and easier to clean. I wouldn't even put the rubber pieces back on the tips because that's a way of breaking the tips. I use fish pump tubing and use that to keep the tips safe. I also store them in bubble wrap so nothing can bump or break them.
