Although the installation and functionality was simple and straightforward, the downsides relate to the design and quality. The main problem is with the built-in power switch. It rattles when shaken and shorts out, randomly turning the light off or on. Because the switch is sealed, it cannot be repaired. The outlet surge protector worked when the lights were off, with the smell of overheated plastic. I can only imagine what would have happened if I hadn't been home when this happened or if this lamp had been plugged directly into an outlet. Dangerous. I do not recommend this product. Update 11/3/21: I have recently received 4 identical emails on behalf of the seller of "Barbara Fox", "Victoria Medina" and "Sandra Burton" asking them to remove this critical review in return. for a return. This completely ignores the fact that there is a risk of electric shock and fire with this article. Only a dishonest seller will resell this LED light if Revain has TENs of complaints about the poor quality of this item, particularly defective switches. I have sent emails from the Revain seller as a formal complaint. Avoid this LED black light AND this seller.
