will be using this fall to drain my pool but tried a garden hose when it got here. I have no way of measuring it, but it sprays over 30 feet at full flow. I assume that if you use a 1.5" backwash hose instead of a garden hose it will actually move. Moderately easy. Heavy duty long cable. A somewhat clumsy float switch. Would have preferred to have a separate fitting for each type of hose rather than some type of 'cone' that had to be cut. A washer for the outlet fitting is not supplied and is required. In general, these are minor complaints.
