Review on 💨 Optimized Vornado 5303DC Air Circulator Fan for Energy Efficiency, Smart Variable Speed Control, and Small Size by Dana Black

After ordering and returning a pair of cheap, poorly made, unacceptably noisy/vibrating fans, we bought this Vornado with a brushless DC motor. Tool-free assembly takes five minutes. It's a beautiful piece of hardware; The parts fit together well and the fan is very stable. This 9" block moves more air, is quieter, and has less vibration than the 18" stakes we bought and returned. He doesn't hesitate, but if positioned correctly in space, he shouldn't. The head unit is perfectly cushioned and can be positioned anywhere between parallel and perpendicular to the floor. The control box consists of touch controls for up and down acceleration (variable, 1-99) and buttons for power on and timer. The remote controls all these functions as well, which could be handy if we had a fan in our bedroom. At maximum speed (99) there is clear wind noise, but the fan remains surprisingly stable. We'll probably work another 60 to 75 in our tidy living room with vaulted ceilings. The fan is qualitatively made, the vibration is ZERO. This model is considered to be extremely energy efficient. I don't have the ability to track power consumption, but brushless DC motors are inherently more efficient, more powerful, and last longer. However, we don't have to buy a new fan every year or so. This Vornado blows air effortlessly, quietly, with no vibration or wobble, so I suspect it will last for many years with minimal power consumption. As for the cons, the black power cord and brick spoil the look. The plastic is glossy white and the solid metal stand is a pleasant neutral grey. I want the cord and power supply to be white to match. And yes, it's expensive. Good product. Love it.
