Works fine for the moment, although there was an initial BSOD after the first run

is available I have a fairly old desktop that I created in 2009. I think I had Windows Vista when I put it together. My motherboard doesn't have USB 3.0 ports, and neither did the case I used when I first built this computer. When I started having issues with the case, I replaced it with a new one that included two USB 3.0 ports on the front. I bought a PCI-E expansion card and eventually upgraded to Windows 7 as well. This card had a USB 3.0 port on the front in addition to the two ports on the back. It also had a power connector that had to be plugged into my power supply. When I upgraded to Windows 10 I started having problems with the drivers for this expansion card. I eventually got it to work, but there were occasional issues, particularly with the front-panel ports. In particular, they got overloaded easily and I had to reboot my computer just for them to work properly. Recently, after Windows 10 update, they stubbornly became useless for a while, which caused me all sorts of problems when trying to fix the situation. In the end everything worked for me again. At that moment I decided it would be a good idea to buy a new card that will hopefully have fewer problems with Windows 10. I had no trouble installing this card in any of the expansions. Slots (I think I went with the x8 slot), and I liked that you didn't have to connect to the power supply with a cable. I wish there was a cable to connect to the front panel ports, but luckily I had one so I just moved it from the old card to the new one. Indeed, when I turned on the computer with the card installed, I got a BSOD error. I believe it said something about memory management. It took several reboots and eventually I booted into safe mode and made sure the card was working, but didn't do anything to fix the problem. It's just gone. So far everything has been working fine and all ports have been working as they should. Hopefully I won't have any more problems, but who knows. Computers are annoying that way.
