RUST FOR WEEKS. See photos and videos. If you're looking for a system that will tightly compress the rings around your tarps or products, this isn't for you. Some rings compress but they don't fit the material snugly. This allows the rings to be released for easy tearing off. The ferrules should be stainless steel, but they will stick to the magnets and rust within a few weeks in a salt-free outdoor environment. Also, the crimpers don't align perfectly, so the rings are often crimped before they slip under the backup ring. I definitely did not recommend it for any use. Out of about 100 rings I've pierced, only 10 or 15 have come out like they're holding on.
