It was exactly what we were looking for. We decided on a whim that our cluttered TV nook should be a corner fireplace instead, but we were working on a budget. The level of warmth that comes out is nice and cozy and for the price we paid I'm very impressed with the lighting and image. That's about 1000 times more realistic than I expected. The flame is clearly artificial lighting, but I honestly expected it to look fake and genuinely ridiculous for only $150. However, this is not the case, they glow and shimmer pleasantly, which looks quite real, especially if you don't look at them directly. (To be clear, the artificial flame isn't a disadvantage for me - I was expecting it to look even more artificial than it actually is, and I'm very impressed with that.) I also really like that it has overheat protection. . Overall it was totally worth the money we spent on it and just what we needed for this quick project.
