Review on πŸ”Œ Yeeco DC Boost Converter, 1A Step Up Voltage Regulator for 2-24V 5V 9V Input, Adjustable 5-28V 12V 20V Output Boost Module, High-Quality Step Up Power Supply Module by Rafael Lee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable little circuit so far.

I liked it so much I ordered 2 more. I use it to boost USB voltage from 5V to 12V to charge my Icom ID-51 Plus. The charging circuit in this radio consumes no more than 350 mAh. I figured it was drawing over 500mA as the radio is limited in power supply. When charging the radio with 350mah, it consumes 1A at 5V USB. So far I've tested it with two USB power supplies. One is old, cheap and unbranded, and also a good quality anchor. It worked perfectly. I also like the extra smooth potentiometer it is supposed to use to adjust the output voltage. Out of the box it was 13.6 volts or so. Be sure to check the voltage before connecting them to anything as I have no idea if they are all around 13.6v or if it happened where mine was. The only thing I don't like is that this has no mounting holes. I used a double-sided outdoor foam tap and reinforced it around the edges with hot glue in the project box to keep it from coming loose. I considered giving it one star due to the lack of mounting holes, but the circuitry does exactly what it says on the tin and that's what I usually base my reviews on of what the product promises. get annoyed. But I'm using a little over half the rated output current. So who knows how it will charge, say 500 or 600 mAh. Thank you for reading.
