Bought for my younger children to take me on night walks in our neighborhood. Phoenix AZ is a little more forgiving when the sun goes down! Fastening: Quick and easy, thick elastics hold in place and don't twist. Blocks are lightweight, even rough terrain keeps them in place. Simplicity. Brightness: I used the headlight myself for a few laps in a totally dark parking lot before attaching it to kids' bikes. It glows with diffused light, bright enough to be sure of what's in front of you at least 10-15 feet, visible from quite a distance. The taillights are absolutely bright! Most likely the same as a headlamp with a red cap. Battery: Charges quickly, includes micro USB cable for each piece. I've used probably over 3 hours and still haven't charged it. Excellent universal flashlights at a good price!
