TL;DR: Works fine for my WFH configured to share peripherals (KB + mouse) between two computers but USB ports Type B are not very suitable and can lose connection with even the slightest movement of the cables. But functionally it does what it should. Note that this is a simple switch that basically performs a disconnect and reconnect with the push of a button, rather than having to physically unplug and plug in the USB ports. This means that if you press to switch computers, the devices on one machine will no longer be recognized (disconnected) and "connected" to another machine. It's also USB 2.0, so I don't recommend using it with bandwidth-sensitive devices (like capture cards, USB sticks or drives, webcams, or cameras). I'm currently using a mechanical keyboard (Mistel X-VIII) and a wireless mouse (Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro) between the two setups for the work-from-home setup. I was nervous about choosing another of these USB hubs because I tried a 4-port UGREEN USB 3.0 switch (which has almost 2,000 reviews with a 4.5 star rating) and it got a 30 -Dollar disaster that wasn't working properly (sticky buttons). keyboard, stuttering mouse, intermittent failure to detect devices on each computer) - and this hub costs twice as much as this YITROX switch. Fortunately, this YITROX switch actually works. I first had issues with my Surface Book 3 where intermittent keys would get stuck and my mouse would freeze every few seconds and I almost wrote the device off, but I noticed that the freezing issue doesn't occur on my desktop. I eventually determined that the cause was related to a Surface Book 3 bug in conjunction with the Surface Dock 2 (the problem persisted even when this switch was plugged into a USB port without a dock - as long as the dock was plugged into it ). had a problem with stuttering). I fixed this by installing a Surface Book 3/Dock 2 firmware update from the Windows 10 update screen (it appeared in the Optional Updates section). After the upgrade, the switch worked fine. The reason I deducted a star is that the USB Type-B ports are poorly equipped. The ends of the USB-B cable will wiggle when fully connected. Even if contact isn't lost, it wobbles enough to lose connection. I ended up getting shorter USB Type-B cables to limit the cable routing issue (Monoprice has USB Type-B to USB Type-A cables that are 1.5 feet and at Revain cost 0.73 cents), but that might be acceptable, not a solution for everyone.
