I need a longer T-Bolt for use with the Powertec Universal T-Bar. I use DCT 5 Star grips which I think are great but the screws that came with them weren't long enough for my application and sometimes their screws came out of the Powertec rail as they came out pretty loose. These screws are designed for use with the Powertec T-Bar and so far I'm very happy with them. The combination of the three elements mentioned ensures fast and precise clamping. I made my own clamps out of 1/2" Baltic Birch plywood and use the clamps to hold the tree in place while I plan it by hand. If I'm using a router, table saw, drill press, or other power tool, I use a combination of strategically placed, strong lever clamps to hold the wood in the jig instead of a T-rail, stronger clamps for power tool use are the safer and preferred method.
