Very Impressive HDMI to Component Upscaling

WHY BUY THIS? You have a TV or monitor with component red/green and blue RCA inputs (common 15 years ago) but want to display data from an HDMI device (common today). WHY I BOUGHT THIS: I have a Sony VPL projector VW11HT that was released in the early 2000's so its highest resolution inputs are component inputs like many HDTVs of the time. RESULTS: Wow, I'm really impressed! I just hooked this up to my 18 year old projector, then to my laptop (which is probably 1 year old) and OH MY. It looks amazing! I paid 10x what this little box does (when using Windows Media Center on a PC) and had to scale it to fit my projector's inputs and resolutions. A beautiful aluminum body, solid build quality and performance make this old projector a thing of the past. Should I buy an old TV or projector? Of course not. Even today's cheapest device is getting brighter and more energy efficient. But if you have an outdated display/TV/projector and find it useful to connect a modern camera/DVD/Blu-Ray/computer/laptop/gaming system then this is the perfect solution. BONUS: It comes with all the cables you need! Just connect your HDMI device and display and you're done.
