Review on SUPERCHIPS FLASHCAL COMPATIBLE 1999 2019 GASOLINE by Darryl Jennings

I am the second owner of a 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 5.4 liter 16 valve petrol engine and a 4R100 4 speed automatic transmission. I've owned it since December 2003 and often tow a 24ft hardside trailer. The first owner had a computer chip installed for towing. The chip was a 1999 Superchips installed on the back of the ECM. There are 15 contact points on the ECM's circuit board and the chip has 15 sets of clips or clips that attach to the circuit board. There is then a piece of tape to hold the chip in place and then the entire ECM slides back into the plastic mount. The problem is that after 22 years the tape dried out and after years of vibration the clips or clips sank into the circuit board and destroyed it. It always towed well and shifted smoothly when towed, but when not being towed it shifted harder, especially when set to cruising speed and it would shift up and down to maintain speed. I replaced the ECM with a rebuilt one that was programmed and flashed from my truck VIN. Plug-N-Go, and since my keys don't have a chip, nothing else is needed. But now I've noticed some loss of power when dragging, as well as smoother shifting without dragging. I wanted the best of both worlds. Therefore, after a long research, I decided on the Superchips Flashpaq F5. Haven't been able to use tow mode yet, but installed it with the Mileage XS. I use 91 octane gas because I don't believe in using alcohol in my truck. Everything seems great and my truck runs and shifts smoother. I haven't been able to check the mileage yet. I'm looking forward to the tow mode.
