Review on πŸ” Accu-Gage S60X: Reliable and Accurate 60 PSI Dial Tire Gauge Review by Taj Tyagi

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Entry level gauge that used to have better quality control

I bought this as a backup for my 4x4 bearing gauge as it's a bit easier to have at least 2 tire gauges around the house. this is my second battery 60. my first one stopped holding pressure and i replaced it with my 4x4 battery i bought in october 2012, still reads and works fine, it shows the same exact measurements as my 4x4 battery , but twice cheaper as it is there are some internal differences. my new accu-gage 60 does not hold the pressure for more than 1 minute. see attached drawing. Pros: + Affordable compared to other Bourdon tube dials + Compact size + Easy to read dial, I think the white dial is the easiest to read even at night with a light source + "More accurate" than your regular $1.99 pencil Gauge :- reluctant to hold pressure after reading, starts to drain after about 60 seconds - no rubber surround to protect against falls and bumps - glass screen made from cheap plastic - slightly scratched with high reflection on the glass sun - as shipped with a The Lifetime Guarantee costs at least $3, not sure if it's worth the cost. - It took my first 60 acu-gauge years to develop a slow pressure valve leak. Not sure if this new purchase is just coincidence or if they all work like this (see pic - both batteries read "32psi" initially)
