Bought this tape to highlight the horizontal edges of outdoor stairs. One step is tiled and the others are bare concrete. The tape came without instructions and printed packaging. Easy to use. It adheres very well to smooth tiles but not very well to concrete. The first 3 days everything was fine with the adhesion holding the tape in place. On the 4th day it rained heavily and the tape on the concrete just peeled off the surface. This is a 30 year old concrete staircase. When applied it was clean. If etching or sealing of the concrete was required, there were no instructions to do so. The Wayward tape stayed tacky but obviously couldn't handle the concrete when it got wet. Discard what was left. UPDATE: A few months later I decided to try the same tape again on the same bare concrete, following the advice of my installer friends. I ordered the same type of replacement tape and instead of relying solely on the adhesive backing, I added a strip of high-tack silicone before installing. After several days and summer rains in Florida, the tape remains firmly attached to the concrete. This solved the problem of sticking to my bare concrete.
