I purchased the 1/2" tape for a variety of uses. So far I have only used it on my shoes for walking when it is dark out. I prepped the surface by cleaning it with running alcohol and letting it dry. I cut the pieces to fit and clipped the corners to adhere better (a tip the VELCRO rep gave me years ago for self-adhesive VELCRO). I was able to apply this to my helmet and bike, which seem to be sticking fine, so far. It is a bit rigid and probably not meant for wrapping around something but it sticks to flat surfaces just fine. It is cuttable so I was able to cut it down to 1/4 in and put strips on my helmet and smaller surfaces on my bike. It is very reflective, so if you are a little creative with your tape placements you can make any size surface light up.

I just bought this and it works so well!Washed my dark navy blue jacket to prep it for the tape.Then added the tape to the accent belt at the waist and at the cuff of each sleeve!I don't tend to walk along the road at night, but I was concerned about being in parking lots, especially during the holidays. I used it on my garage floor to mark the limited space I had for my vehicle. I didn’t have any trouble with removing the backing and the adhesion is OK, time will tell. Didn't feel as adhesive as other tapes I've used and didn’t look any different than light gray glossy duct tape, not really as reflective as expected. Got these to help mark my hunting trails. I had been looking for some reflective twist ties for months with no luck, when I got the idea to use this tape around existing twist ties. And guess what, it worked really well. Just sliced numerous even pieces, and it's adhesive was sufficient enough to hold on ordinary twist ties. I ride my ebike early in the morning, sometimes as the sun is coming up so it can be relativley dark and the cars have headlights on. I bought this for steps to increase safety at night. It works well, but I did not realize it has text written all over it (DOT C2) to indicate it is approved for vehicle use. That's great, except for the fact that it looks unattractive when you're using it on the front steps of a house. My mistake - the tape is otherwise effective, so I still give it 5 stars, but I wouldn't recommend it for residential uses where looks matter.

I put this on my food bag for when I'm backpacking and hang my food bag in a tree. I can find it quicker and easier when leaving out early in the morning and other hikers are still looking for their foodbags. Just shine a light and "Voila" there's my foodbag.

Riding a motorcycle at night is sketchy at best. I put strips all over my bike for when I get caught riding after dark. Looks good, I had my girl follow me at night and she said it was easy see me.

I loved the ease it was to use this tape! I used it on a step inside the front door area that was easy to trip on. I put it on the ledge so the step could more easily be seen and it works fine! I am unsure of it's durability but great for now and time will tell!I will also use it on our trash/recycling containers so they can be seen after dark in our small driveway.The color white silver is perfect and not too obtrusive in our home!

The reflective tape was easy to use and to place on the belly band of my RV. I am happy how well the belly band looks with this reflective tape. I think the purchase of this tape was money well spent. I think it is worth it even if I have to replace the tape every few years. I have no basis at this point to determine its durability. It seems sturdy enough. Time will tell.

Didn't seem to stick on the concrete at all. Perhaps I misread the information on the product but thought this was my answer and it wasn't for me!

I don’t recall ever giving a 1-Star rating to a product. I see a number of the 1-star ratings for this product focus on the adhesive but my complaint is the reflectiveness. As in, it doesn’t.I would get just as much reflectiveness from a piece of masking tape with honeycomb pattern printed on it. Maybe I just received a bad batch. All I know is that it doesn’t reflect at all.

I used the reflective tape for my kids skate helmets. I cut up the tape into small strips and even cut into basic shapes to look somewhat cool on the helmets. They definitely work and reflect well. Also used on dog leashes.

Pain in the butt to get off the roll. Shrink wrap plastic breaks off in little pieces, apparently sticking to the glue on the side of the roll. When trying to unroll it the backing comes off inconsistently. Apart from the pain getting it off the roll it works good and sticks well. Will find out soon if it’s waterproof.

This reflective tape is a great addition to things you want to make easier to find at night. I put a bunch of strips on a camp chair with black legs so that it will light up when my headlamp shines on the tape at night. I also used some of the tape to make a camera tripod (also all black) more visible at night. It's not so reflective that it helps much during the day, or with indirect lighting so if you're looking for something that "glows," this is not what you're looking for.The tape seems to
