Review on Akacraft Embroidery Starter Stamped Traditional by Angela Rodriguez

Don't expect high quality

I'm going back to embroidery after a while. I bought this set to relearn stitches and have a cute little detail to frame when my workshop is adorned with cherry blossoms. I'd give it a 3 for the cute pattern and the fabric is pretty decent although the needles provided leave noticeable holes at times and it tends to fall out a bit with cream fuzzies. I have been working with yarn, cross stitching, embroidering and embellishing costumes for 40 years and this yarn is horrible to work with. *Terrible.* It puckers and tears when pulled through fabric, tangles easily when pulled from a strand, and doesn't separate well into two strands. After being sufficiently pulled through the fabric, it will begin to crumble and become fluffy. This is NOT a DMC branch, which luckily they don't state. This pattern is cute enough and had I known I would have considered buying it and swapping out the filament for a comparable DMC as at least the pattern is already printed with the design saving time to get started. This allows for a bit of practice other than the thread, and the tire was fine. heavy plastic. Know what I know about the thread

The instructions provided didn't actually tell you how to do the stitching.
