Review on 54” Tough Durable Mesh Retractable Baby Gate: Indoor Safety & Outdoor Pet Dog Gate by Mia Lawrence

I have already left a review but I will leave a second one after a year of use. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A GERMAN SHEEPDOG. These gates are ideal for small dogs or calmer dogs such as hounds. However, my 35lb Australian Shepherd just crashed into the gate, breaking the flimsy plastic struts each time. He could also jump over it without any problems. The brackets must be metal and the gate must be higher. I believe that no nervous dog (border collie, australian shepherd, kelpie, etc.) can be restrained by this gate. The gate will also be good for small children. I don't think I would use it at the top of the stairs. As I said before, my 35 lb dog was able to squeeze through the gate. I would be concerned about a 35 lb child pushing the gate at the top of the stairs.
