A professional artist would never give these canvas panels 5 stars but for a beginner they are perfect. I bought these for my 9 year old granddaughter who decided to paint pictures for Christmas gifts. They're economical, so it's not a huge loss if the paint needs to be redone. They are strong because the canvas is glued to a thick cardboard backing. We've used these for watercolors where care needs to be taken not to peel the paint off the canvas when layering, but a bit of experimentation helped with this. All in all a good buy to start with.
