On the advice of a friend I bought a Riccar vacuum, disappointed with the performance and fit of my Oreck. The Riccar I own uses W type vacuum bags. I am very happy with the performance of this vacuum and bags. HEPA packs are very helpful in fighting allergy outbreaks. We have 3 pets and I always vacuum after them. The bag filters dirt well. It also has a small adhesive tab that you use to fold over the opening of the bag when you remove it from the vacuum to prevent dirt from escaping. The bags are a bit more expensive than some, but my air is cleaner and my house actually stays cleaner longer between vacuums. I am very happy.
