I bought these for camp for my daughter. Some make no noise at all, and the others are squeaky and quiet. If she were actually lost in the woods, I don't think this would produce enough sound to attract much attention.

These whistles were great for our sports camp, lightweight, but clear crisp sound. They also do not clank around as you walk which is an added bonus.

I thought this was going to be the heavier whistle but it wasn’t to use with my students they couldn’t hear it blow Lanyard color may not be preferred by all users.

these whistles are junk. I bought it to call my dog back to the houseand she cannot hear it just 50 feet away. Loud, crisp sounds, are false advertisement.No stars would be more accurate.

You won't be reffing many games with these as they're fragile but otherwise for a few days, they seem ok. That's my review.

These whistles are cheaply made and don't even make a whistle sound! The ones in the school prize box work better than this junk.

These are light and loud. I make everyone take one of these when we go hiking or are camping and they are so easy to use. They can be worn around your neck or carried in a pocket or tied to a backpack. I think these are essential for campers and hikers. They would also be great for kids to have in a public place. If anyone approaches them with bad intent they can blow the whistle - and it's loud.

I'll be honest. I bought these to use to discourage particular shady companies from calling me constantly on the phone. I'm talking to YOU "Heather at Credit Card Services" and others of your ilk who cannot be blocked because you spoof the phone numbers of innocent people. A loud whistle can also discourage thieves pretending to work for Microsoft.

Good quality for the price. Has the little pea-sized cork (which produces better sound than ones without it). Lanyard is also adjustable (not all types are). Works well in water conditions for lifeguards or out in the field for coaches and referees. Recommended.
