Let me start by saying this star on my 9ft tree is amazing and is exactly as described. The size is perfect for a larger tree and the star has been packaged to prevent damage other than crushing. I deducted two stars because of the difficulty in attaching it to a tree. After reading other reviews I was ready to fight when it arrived! The pole supporting the top of my artificial tree wasn't strong enough to hold this star, so I folded this piece and installed a brace at the center post of the tree. It worked after a lot of pushing and tugging, but I still wasn't sure it would stay in place, so I secured it with a zip tie just in case. The manufacturer must seriously change the configuration of the mounting bracket! Others say the star is too heavy, but I believe the problem is the shape and size of the attachment coil. It's shaped like a cone and is only about 3 inches tall, so the top of the tree can't protrude far enough into the mount to support the star. This makes the star heavy. my humble opinion!
