Used this item to try and fix a large water tank. After reading the instructions and watching a few videos, I patched the tear. This worked great for the first pass, but after the iron cooled down and came back later. I heated up the iron and started to work, but the tip broke off right in the appliance. I found that his special iron drills a hole in the tip insert to insert the screw that holds the tip. The metal around the screw was chipping causing the tip to fall off, very poor quality materials used for the tip and placement. The hole in the handpiece of this product is a design flaw that will cause the handpiece to fail.
