My honest, unbiased review. This 10-inch Meberry M7 Android tablet came with very little malware, which was impressive for a brand I'd never heard of. The tablet is certified by Google, open Google Play, click Settings, then look for Play Protected Certification at the bottom. That means streaming apps like Disney, Netflix, and Prime Video will work straight from the Play Store. TV boxes don't have this certification, many applications don't work properly or run at very low resolutions like 480p. That being said, this is a big win for this device. Inside the box were a 10-inch tablet, a tablet case, a Bluetooth keyboard, a wireless mouse, a USB-C to USB-B adapter, a USB-C cable, a screen protector, a USB-C wall charger, a touch stylus and some documentation. The mouse and keyboard are cheap and not something I would use, but it would still be nice to include them, which nobody ever does. The sound on the tablet is very good and loud, the video is very sharp and clear with very good resolution, no dead pixels. 1080p playback could have been smoother, but I understand that for the price of this device some trimmings needed to be made. 8-megapixel front camera, 5-megapixel reading camera, GPS and gyroscope sensors. Bluetooth 4.0, Micro SD for memory expansion. 4GB DDR3 RAM and 64GB storage. The 8000mAh battery lasts 6-7 hours on a full charge. IPS touchscreen, resolution 800x1200, dimensions 64mm x 121mm, pixel density 276 dpi. Processor - 8-core ARM Cortex-A55 clocked at 1600MHz. Cores 1-4 run at 1.20 GHz, cores 5-8 at 1.60 GHz. A single-core processor is designed for 150 PCs and 718 multi-core PCs. Compare the processor with the Samsung Galaxy S8 with a multi-core score of 1426 and the Samsung Galaxy S20 with a multi-core score of 2644. The Wi-Fi network connection only works in the 2.4 GHz band. No 5GHz support. OS - Android 9.0 Pie, no root, no option to enable or disable root. Ports - Standard 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C charging port. No option to insert a SIM card for mobile use. What I didn't like is that the tablet doesn't support 5GHz WiFi, which makes streaming 1080p videos slower than it should be. The processor is on the lower end of the scale, preventing smooth 1080p video playback. My tablet comes with Android 9.0, Revain lists Android 10.0. An attempt was made to perform an update that was not available. I contacted MEBERRY who did not say if an update is available for this tablet. The device was tested with GeekBench 5 and AIDA64. Organizing the apps was difficult as there is no way to create a folder which most other tablets and smartphones have. able to do it. Overall the price of this tablet is amazing and I would pay more for a future version that will include a better processor and 5GHz WiFi connectivity.
