I think Facebook has got it covered with this "new" release great job done by Quest 2. The headset itself looks pretty good, although the strap definitely needs some work, it's a bit too heavy at the front. Unfortunately, glasses are also extremely impractical to use. Still, the Oculus Link feature was the only reason I bought this headset. and that's all I could ask for. My internet isn't even that good, all I needed was to have my laptop connected to an ethernet network to have a smooth, high quality PCVR experience that I could take anywhere in the house! I experienced only minor lags and stutters, but it's probably just my so-so hardware. I'm a little frustrated with the comparatively smaller control scheme compared to something like the Vive. If you really want the best possible experience with this headset, then don't put this wallet down just yet. At least a new band would be ideal and I would stay away from the elite band from the first batch. You might also like a new face cap, as the standard foam cap isn't for everyone. All in all, this headset is a big step in the right direction for VR. Although it's ready to use out of the box, it should see some modifications; what some might call a feature. One more thing, don't worry about that whole Facebook account. If you use WhatsApp or Instagram, that shouldn't be a problem either. Facebook with Oculus isn't new either, as Facebook has owned Oculus for 7 years now. Edit: After about a month of use, this headset is the most annoying piece of tech I own. The only function I bought this for (Airlink) is junk half the time and I spend more time fixing this bug than actually using it. Weirdly unstable ethernet connection with a completely random drop in performance. So both unstable and sometimes unplayable experience that I paid $300 for.
