Just installed on an iPad 6th Gen. So yes it will work but you will need to order parts to fix the home button on the glass attach. The only difference between this new glass and the factory original is that the home button is slightly lower. Not sure if the glass is thicker or if the new home button bracket is lower. I saved my home button and the fingerprint scanning works fine. The glass hugs the edge of the frame snugly. The glue keeps it in place well. If this changes I will update the review. The tools that come with it work perfectly but you will need a tiny flathead screwdriver and a heat gun. My 3 month old iPad fell on the floor. The glass wasn't cracked, in fact it was broken. Thousands of little pieces. The local store asked for $200. I bought this thing on Black Friday for $250 so no thanks. When removing the glass, first make sure to use old business or credit cards to push the broken glass away from the frame. Once you get to the bottom, make sure you can get between the glass and the WiFi and GPS antennas (they're on the bottom right and bottom left, equidistant between the home button and the edges). They can easily be broken off. Also on the right about 1 inch from the bottom are the ribbon cables for the LCD and home button. Again, be careful. You will also need a way to attach the support bracket around the camera lens. I used double sided tape.
