These patches work great on whatever fabrics they are designed for.
I had a pair of shirts with collars worn inside. I cut the patch into thin strips and ironed it over the entire worn area. They have held up very well even after several washes. I also used it to patch a hole in a jacket pocket and where the sleeve lining was separating from the cuff.
