May not be suitable for guinea pigs. Good quality.

Both hay and straw are labeled, and sometimes they're interchangeable, but they're different things. It is advertised as suitable for guinea pigs. On further reading, however, I realized that straw is not recommended as bedding for guinea pigs. This is mainly because it can be tough at times and can lead to injury. However, it looks bland. It's also not a good source of basic nutrition. It's soft like Timothy Hey and I'm not worried she'll hurt herself on it. It doesn't fit as a mattress pad or under other bedding like some people do. It is slightly saturated and does not have a pleasant smell. I change her cage every day and it's still not the best choice. Instead, I add a small amount to her hayloft for natural comfort and surroundings. I see them nibbling and eating hay. It is not harmful to the guinea pig's diet. However, timothy hay should be the main source of their rodent hay. It may be more suitable for other small animals.
