Good projector for the money

When I first got this thing I was a bit disappointed to see that the picture quality is noticeably lower and the picture brightness is lower than the projectors I work on and at university had . Then I found out that these projectors cost over $1,000. I tried comparing it to a more comparable price but only found a friend with one for $400. My friend's projector was still significantly better, but definitely not 4x the price. After some adjustments and adjustments, we achieved comparable image quality. The screen is partially transparent which makes the image appear blurry when hung on the wall as it is mirrored twice. It is better if the screen is hung somewhere so that there is nothing behind it. If it's to be hung on the wall, we've tried putting a black tablecloth behind it, which improves the picture quality with great success. I suppose if we had an even darker surface, but behind the screen, that would be even better. Another tweak was to realize that the picture quality is much better if the keystone is left intact and the projector is aimed as straight as possible at the wall. . When we did this, the image was uniformly sharp. When setting keystone there will always be some areas that are noticeably less focused. Finally, as with all projectors, the darker the room, the better the image looks. It's definitely best for windowless rooms or for watching movies at night. Also note that I set this up for a 100 inch screen size. All my photos show a 100 inch screen.
