I bought them half a size larger than usual to wear warm socks with them. I bought them to walk my dogs in winter. While not as warm as my bulky winter boots, they are far more comfortable to walk miles in! So I wear warm socks and everything is fine. They are sewn very well and the tread grip makes a huge difference when walking in ever-changing winter weather. We don't walk our dogs in extreme sub-zero temperatures, but these boots have seen plenty of snow, mud, and ice. They still look good and are in near mint condition. I'll definitely get my money's worth for them!
