Cleans teeth well, but three settings may not be necessary. Only a setting with a softer brush head works best.
The device works well. However, I don't find the multifunction settings very useful. I used the gum care setting but found I had to switch to the super soft head on my Sonicare toothbrush because the brush head that came with it was sore on my gums. Previously I had a model with only one setting and that seems to make the most sense. Replacing the head of your toothbrush with softer bristles will significantly reduce gum irritation.
