Rusty scissors? Scratches on a stainless steel sink? Unpleasant water stains won't go away? It's a must have in my opinion for anyone who prefers to fix things rather than replace them. I saved some shears and garden tools by sanding off the rust and then re-oiling. I have removed stubborn water stains and even light scratches from our stainless steel kitchen sink. I sanded down the scratches on our beautiful stainless steel kitchen trash can. They are made of rubber impregnated with abrasives. They will wear out but it looks like the abrasive is completely saturated with rubber and they wear out slowly so a set of them should last quite a while. Each of them has a marking and a different class (degree of roughness). The most aggressive cut through the rust with little effort. The least aggressive method polishes (but doesn't polish) stainless steel fairly well.
