I like that it is double lined and reversible. I prefer this heat mat to the cooling mat that I also bought for my dogs because the heat mat seems to be more durable and hasn't cracked the corners yet. It would be nice if the heating mat was a different color than just beige so it doesn't look dirty after a few days. The heating mat also started to crack a bit, but the corners were intact compared to the cooling mat. Overall I'm still happy with it because my dogs love to chew on their bedding if it's a pillow and that's the only thing they can use. I have a large one for two 25 lb dogs to share. But looking back, I think I should have given each of them two mediums.
