The butterflies were cute but if you want them to fly you should reconsider your purchase. Also, you will need to buy extra rubber bands because these bands will break after being wound multiple times (4 or 5). Basically, butterfly wings twist and flap rather than fly. If you use them as a surprise in a book, the book should immediately open to the page they are hidden on. If not, they just unwind between pages. I really wanted to love them because my nieces are big fans of butterflies. We just hung them up in the rooms.
