Some fit completely into the connector, like HDMI, and are therefore roughly flat, i.e. flush, compared to the side of the case. Some, like the headphones, stick out and seem to catch on things and fall out. The ear cups are also very short. I was mistakenly expecting them to fit like a headphone jack, but in hindsight they weren't pictured that way.
