Review on πŸ‘Ά Baby Jogger City Mini 2 Stroller 2019 - Compact & Lightweight | Quick Fold & Easy Stroll | Jet Black by Brandon Skeet

Light but uncomfortable without much room for improvement

We got this for our newborn but we ordered it almost 6 months early as we wanted to make sure it was in stock. There are some very strange, noticeable issues with this stroller that I want to research carefully before I buy it - and before I exit the returns window. Pros: 1. It's so, so, so easy to break. How ridiculously easy. You just left it and it all fell apart. Add to that the lightweight frame and it's really easy to disassemble and toss in the trunk - with one hand if you must! 2. Pretty cheap for a stroller. Disadvantages1. There is absolutely no suspension for either wheel. Since they are attached directly to the frame, any impact causes the entire stroller to shake violently. If you use a car seat mount, it will cause a strong jerk. And we're not talking about curbs - we're talking about gaps between concrete on the sidewalk. The worse the better, picking up the back of the stroller and using it as a wheelbarrow. Hard rubber wheels make matters worse and cannot be replaced. 2. Where are the accessories? There's absolutely no storage space other than a bottom basket, meaning if you have a drink/pacifier/etc you'll have to buy a parental console ($45!), the City Mini's handle blocks access to it.3. He doesn't stand up very well on his own. You can try balancing it on the handle, but it's very unstable - I basically had to make sure it was leaning against the wall or it would fall. Also, if you have a car seat mount, it sticks out at a VERY weird angle - basically parallel to the ground. Since it's unstable, it also presents the possibility of someone hitting it and knocking it over. All in all, if you're sure you want a baby jogger, I'd recommend getting the GT2, which at least has inflatable wheels. If I can't resell this now my plan is to use it for things where things are going to be flat ie shops. But to walk around the area I need to invest in another stroller.

Pros
  • Strollers and accessories
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
