Very good shock absorbers

Put these on my son's 2003 Avalanche. Bilsteins replaced from the factory. He is very happy with the ride quality. He said it looked like a new truck. Installation was easy.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Available in white only

Careful fine finish

I think it works as a shock so far but I have bought many KYB Monomax shocks and they have been good value for money. But this one is made in Mexico, and when he tried to remove the white sticker, he removed the paint before the glue. Made in Japan shock absorbers have never had such a delicate color.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Poor repairability

Big shocks! about shocks, struts and suspension

I was a bit nervous when I got some kind of shock absorber for my Chevy Suburban through Revain. No longer. They arrived exactly as expected with free shipping and 60% cheaper than my local parts store. So glad I bought them for my 2004 Suburban which I just bought in April 2017. They definitely improved and smoothed out the handling of this big, heavy car. my turns.

Fits perfectly on my Chevy Suburban 2500 6

Fits perfectly on my Chevy Suburban 2500 6.0 4x2. Installation is very easy, all necessary hardware parts are included in the scope of delivery. I have a slightly oversized 285/75r16 with Kenda Clover and the old worn out shocks didn't fit. These shocks were exactly what the doctor ordered! Elimination/significantly reduced roll when decelerating and accelerating. Significantly improved body roll in curves. I would recommend them to application and am very happy with this product.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Almost everything fits

Nice ride with good cushioning

So much gas they'll raise the bed of your truck, at least in my case. They are well cushioned and everyone is commenting on how well the truck runs over 200,000 miles (only shock absorbers replaced). Maybe a little tighter. The bellows part is a bit cheaply designed, but it is included in the kit and works. You may have to work hard to install them with gas pressure pushing them out if you can't lift the case up and then lower the tail. It took some time and I have experience.

Fits easily on my Chevy Duramax

I've read reviews from people saying they had to change bushings/bolts etc, they didn't fit right, were too stiff etc so I'm a bit concerned. But I am happy to report that they fit my 2010 Chevy Duramax Dually 3500hd perfectly. So I think it depends on your application. They say made in mexico but i take it every day of the week lol. Although I like them, I didn't think I would feel or notice a difference, but I do. My factory dampers are over ten years old so yes they are great. Only a week…

Very good shock absorber for the price.

These dampers appear to be very good. They aren't as HD as I was hoping. However, they are way better than any standard OEM parts! Boots are a great idea for preventing seal failure and the kit is easy to use and install. I installed them on my Chevy Avalanche to try and make the coil over suspension car handle a little better and feel a little firmer. They helped a little: much better than the standard stuff. I paired them with a matching pair for the front. I wish they were a bit more HD than

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Quality

Good price - slightly stiffer than OEM - nothing wrong with that.

KYB 565103 MonoMax Gas Shocks Fits a 2006 Chevy 1500 4WD Avalanche. So far I like the way they drive. They are tougher than OEM and I love it. I've adjusted my speed due to some nasty speed bumps and can expect them to be adjusted. I installed it myself and it turned out to be more difficult than I expected but doable with decent tools. I used a ratchet and a regular ratchet with extensions. Access to the top bracket is difficult. My truck didn't jack up, but I was able to change the rear…

Premature failure, lack of manufacturer support

I cannot express how disappointed I am with the non-existent quality of these shock absorbers. I bought these to replace worn out factory shocks on our 04 Suburban. I've had good luck using KYBs on previous cars so I figured I couldn't go wrong with them, but was I wrong! They've got 9,000 miles (all on the road/highway) and they're already bad! I noticed a "knock-knock" from the front of the car when driving at low speed on rough roads. So I took it to my friend at Les Schwab to check the…
