Review on 🛥️ Humminbird 7400931 MHX XNT Marine Transom Mounting Kit by Norman Costello

I don't like writing negative reviews but that seems to be the only appeal as this product broke during a normal installation and I can't contact Humminbird no matter what channel I try to use. There are three mounting screws, and when the third/bottom screw is hand tightened with a screwdriver, the bottom of the mount essentially diverges in 3 directions. I figured I could send a new one fairly easily, so I tried calling it (on hold for over 45 minutes - no response), email - no response after a week, and chat (several attempts on different days - a few wasted minutes each time filling out the form and specifying the reason for contact, then the screen goes blank and asks for information again). I would actually like to give this product 5 stars. It fitted perfectly to replace my old (also broken) Humminbird transducer mounting bracket and was easy to install (except for the broken one of course). As it is peak boating season I left it on the boat hoping for the best and it worked flawlessly in a situation where the stern of the boat was stranded by a big wave and the top loop popped out on impact and the transducer/s mount saved . Then I just snapped it in place and it holds up well, even broken. I'd be willing to take a chance if the new one doesn't break, I just need some service. Much luck. Update: Received a free replacement after a month - thanks! It's good that the original bracket is now completely destroyed. Great design but fragile!
