I am very satisfied with this device. I use it to monitor my cannabis trichomes (see photo). Just a few things to keep in mind. With such high magnification, the slightest movement of the device makes it extremely difficult to find and focus on an object (it's almost impossible to hold it in your hand). Unfortunately, the zoom, focus, and lighting controls are on the device, and every time you touch it, the view flickers everywhere. It doesn't have the built-in ability to mount a tripod or other stabilizer. My solution: I mount the device on a solid, immovable object (a piece of wood clamped in a heavy vise), I mount the lens with the vise at the right height for my subject, move the subject under the lens and adjust carefully the controls. Another problem: changing the image resolution in the settings menu doesn't seem to affect either the live view or the photos taken. But maybe it's because of my camera, my operating system or something else in my phone. It can work on your phone. That being said, I'm impressed that such an inexpensive device has incredible zoom and image/video capture capabilities. More than adequate for my current purpose. Highly recommended.
