Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gameplay with the PlayStation 3 Rock Band 3 MIDI PRO Adapter by Paul Gravely

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I wish I had bought it a few years ago.

So far I've only used this with Casio LK-100 and Rock Band 3 in Pro mode on Nintendo Wii (2006 model). I don't know if it was luck or luck, but the signal timing worked right out of the box, so I didn't have to try any settings. I just switched to Sister Christian. With Casio (and I'm sure with almost every other MIDI device) I had a choice: mute the keyboard so only the in-game keyboard can be heard, shrink the in-game keyboard so I don't hear all missing notes :( or even change the Casio voice and accompany you playing with an organ, steel drum or some other strange combination. One caveat: I couldn't get a MIDI Pro adapter. It is supplied with a button for a Mustang Pro guitar or recognizes a Pro "Key-Tar", so if you want to use it as part of a full range setup you may need to purchase a 4-port USB2 hub for your Wii. There is an official "Rock Band version" but a good Universal version will do now if I could, it's easy to find a good cheap drum kit with a MIDI out in the controller.
