They are basically perfect: the light is bright and I personally like the color change, the volume rises high enough that I am on my computer or the I feel comfortable watching something across the room, and I appreciate that they are USB powered rather than requiring another slot on my power strip. I saw a few reviews mentioning that the cable connecting the two speakers was short, but wow, that's a short cable. Luckily I have a monitor stand and I was able to adjust the height because they don't fit around my monitor and need to be underneath somehow. In addition, the USB port and audio jack on the other end of the cable also have a distance of approximately 2 inches between them. Unless my port was next to an open USB port, it would not connect to my computer. They work great (so far) but don't give you much flexibility to customize them the way you want.
